Shelter - CA (Centre d'acollida)

This centre operates as an open, limited stay residence for children and adolescents - while the family is not able to take care - assuming educational functions and care, providing guardianship as required by law. Its objective is to provide emergency shelter for children and adolescents in order to monitor and diagnose their personal and family situation so as to subsequently provide the corresponding action plan.

The centre is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The centre’s programme contemplates the activities of daily life, education and training, personal development, knowledge of the culture in that we live, labour integration and the relationship with the immediate environment and with others.

The shelters depend on the Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Directorate General for Child and Adolescent Care.
