We will be written by colleagues from the La Duna Residential Center (Astres Foundation project in Delteble) to tell us about a series of very special experiences that have taken place in La Duna during these Festivities…
December has been a time of intense activity in La Duna. As every year, the month has been fun and rich in details and variety. We have been visited by residents of Deltebre to sing the Christmas aubades and we have also approached the community to sing them. We have also received a visit from different political parties to congratulate us on the festivities and have brought us details for Christmas.
The Meeting of Families in Dune this year has been one of the most emotional; we have received the visit of Erian, runner of the running series Terres de l’Ebre, who wanted to pay tribute to Xavier Sabater, person attended to by La Duna, giving him his trophy and a poster with photographs of each and every one of the towns that the boy has participated: 9 villages, 90 kilometers.
The attendance at the Christmas lunch that we organize every year was also a success; We were around fifty people among people attended, direct care professionals and the cet kitchen team. We screwed up the tió, sang carols and ate wafers and nougat.
New Year’s Eve starred a techno set; live DJ, disco rotating lights and cotton to liven up the party. After the twelve bells, the toasts and effusive congratulations for the new year sounded. 2020 has arrived!
Finally, and no less importantly, in the early hours of the morning, we found many gifts on the windows of the rooms. Have kings brought you many things?
From La Duna we wish you this year to smile, travel and do more than you like. Let you learn from people and learn to get it wrong and get up. That you discover, create, love, fall in love, dream… and do it now, not tomorrow. Remember that you are here to be HAPPY.
