We are looking for people who want to participate voluntarily in this mentoring project for young people in residential foster care between 12 and 17 years old during the school year (from September to June).

Requirements:

• Be over 18 years old,
• Commit to collaborate during the entire project (9 months),
• Participate in an initial training of 6-8 hours (dates to be specified),
• We look for varied profiles: Graduates, professionals in various trades, people who are retired or retired, university students of any subject and other professionals,…
• Empathetic, sociable, dynamic and communicative people motivated to accompany a young person in their process of academic improvement and social inclusion,
• Certificate of crimes of a sexual nature in force,
• Dedication of 2 hours a week to the project,
• Mixed format of meetings: face-to-face and telematic,
• Monitoring and support by the technical team of the project individually,
• Participation in three group evaluation meetings + Final meeting, joint celebration at the end of the course..

During a school year, from September to June, I would carry out a weekly accompaniment, for a space of two hours, to a child/young person, from 12 to 18 years old in residential foster care. The activities would combine orientation, training, cultural and recreational aspects with the aim of contributing to the improvement of their academic results, motivation, increased training expectations and general well-being.

Social mentoring promotes the relationship between people who voluntarily offer part of their time to accompany and support people who are at risk of social exclusion. This relationship is motivated and accompanied by a professional.

Currently, Resilis Foundation has an active mentoring project: it is the 4th edition of sapere Aude, an initiative that accompanies children and young people in residential foster care in the improvement of their school results and their social integration.
