EFCI Women Guatemala or how a development cooperation project can change a community from head to toe.
Utopia Foundation. Girona. Seven years ago we did not imagine that bringing training in female entrepreneurship and empowerment to an indigenous municipality of Rural Guatemala would be an engine of social and economic change for the whole people.
And so it is and we hope it will be even more so over the next few years.
There are already more than 3oo women who in recent years have been trained in the EFCi school of creativity and innovation, led by the Guatemalan organization Swan Tinamit. Trained women have been a mainstay for their families, they have changed the reality of their lives and their surroundings through the creation of vital and community projects that change the reality imposed. In addition, she pretends to be a minority female collective, for the mere fact of being a woman, indigenous and with little purchasing power.

EFCI women will continue for another year betting on women and their talents and will do so through international cooperation. The Utopia Foundation has been committed since its inception to Culture and Education as a driving force for integral development and once again brings us the results obtained in the projects it collaborates and promotes through its memory and its website.
