In December 2011, a group of telefónica Barcelona employees decided to celebrate the classic company Christmas lunch differently. They turned a Christmas meal into a charity gathering. Since then, solidarity lunches have been held in several cities inside and outside Spain.

In Girona, workers and retired people from Telefónica-Girona gathered to celebrate their solidarity lunch on November 29, in the restaurant “El pati verd” in Girona. It has a great social value that a group of people voluntarily and selflessly move to organize all the logistics that means organizing the solidarity lunch and getting a large number of attendees.

The donations raised will be in favor of the ASTRES Foundation, and within the framework of the solidarity lunch, Glòria Fàbrega and Anna Suñer, were able to publicize the Astres project to all the attendees (about 70), giving visibility to the people we serve in the different services of the foundation.

The donation will be used to provide material to the sensory stimulation and relaxation room that the Occupational Center of Girona, is ready to release.

It was also used to explain the family foster care project.

We appreciate the solidarity of the volunteers of Telefónica-Girona, who thought of us.
