What we do

Educational Platform accompanies the entities that form part of it in the realization of transversal processes that improve the design, operation of services and attention to people.

It also supports the legal and regulatory compliance of requirements related to the management of services.

It promotes innovation processes, the creation of new projects, as well as articulates systems for reflection on professional practice and its collection in technical documentation.

Ethics Committee

“The Educational Platform Code of Ethics is conceived as the result of an open and permanent process, which detects the ethically relevant aspects of our professional activity, promoting deliberation among all those affected, and that includes the guidelines on how to approach them.”

The Code of Ethics of Educational Platform responds and content to one of its values “We want to be an ethical, professional and respectful entity with people and the environment” and collects and orders the ethically controversial topics that have reached the Editorial Commission by the professionals of Educational Platform.

This Code has been subscribed by the board of trustees of each of the entities, and is available to all staff and people attended with the will to be, not only a reference document, but an element of improvement and transformation.
In 2008, the Commission of Applied Ethics of Educational Platform was created with the function of promoting and coordinating the process through which this Code of Ethics is updated and deepened, to stimulate training and reflection on the explicit and implicit moral values in professional practice, and to support professional teams in the approach and resolution of ethical problems that arise.

Under no circumstances does this Commission of Applied Ethics perform auditing or sanctioning functions, nor does it borrow the ethical analysis of the professional teams of direct intervention.

Since 2018, there has also been a Space for Ethical Reflection in Social Intervention Services (ERESS), an analysis and discussion group to address the first ethical conflicts and dilemmas. It is the space where good attitudes and good practices are discussed, analysed, and advised on decision making, generates knowledge and guidelines for intervention and generates good attitudes and good practices. It is an advisory tool that promotes awareness and training in ethical values in our entities and services, while promoting good professional and organizational practices in our services through the elaboration of protocols, criteria and recommendations in our Code of Ethics.

If you need more information or to make a query, please contact the Ethics Committee: etica@plataformaeducativa.org.

Formation

From Plataforma Educativa, entities are accompanied to analyze their training needs and articulate a joint internal training offer aimed at all the professionals that make up the member entities.

Check here the training offer:

Innovation

The Educational Platform articulates a space of collective co-creation between the different entities oriented to the design and generation of new projects or services. It is accompanied by a programme of activities and workspaces that facilitate the construction of joint models as well as the design of new forms of social intervention.

ICT and Digitization

Educational Platform accompanies all the entities of the group in its digitization process. Faced with the challenges that entities face in transforming the management and attention of the people attended, we incorporate elements of digitization in all processes.

We have a computer technical team that ensures the proper functioning of networks and devices.

Data management has become a key element for the efficiency of organizations and that is why we have developed our own data management system shared by all entities.

Compliance

Since 2019, all the entities of the Educational Platform group remain within the external audit action of the prevention of criminal risks delegated to JUDILEX, S.L. legal entity dedicated to Criminal Compliance. To this end, article 31 bis of the Criminal Code is complied with in relation to external advisory services for the implementation of the criminal risk model, and continuous review.

The activities in which crimes that must be prevented can be committed have been identified, a risk map has been drawn up and the corresponding protocols and procedures established. Subsequently, each Board independently approved the risk map.

Judilex

The Compliance Committee has been created that meets once every quarter to prepare a half-yearly report presented to the Senior Management Team of the Entities.

On the other hand, the Book against Corruption has been approved, which includes the protocols to be followed in relation to the gifts received, the meetings held and, the travel expenses.

Likewise, since 2019, training in criminal compliance has been taught online.

Since 2020, face-to-face visits to the different services are made to generate an audit in terms of regulatory compliance.

As a result of these audits, the Compliance Committee aims to review the risk map, and specify more concrete measures in order to avoid the commission of criminal offences.

If you want to report any conduct that you consider does not respond to legal compliance, you can do so at: plataformaeducativa@viadenuncia.net

We work towards environmental sustainability, incorporating a new perspective that allows to create new ways of working and living aligned with the construction of a better world. We invite you to participate in this challenge necessary to create a healthier, more sustainable and more responsible society with our environment.

You can send your proposals, videos, writings or whatever you want and/or deem appropriate to the email rsc@plataformaeducativa.org

Participation in governance

The dynamic principle of our governance model is the participation in the management and organization of the services and projects of both the people attended and the teams of professionals that are part of the entity.

The Participation Motor Group was born with the purpose of stimulating participation in the governance of entities and is formed by a representative of each entity.

One of the objectives of the group is to promote Participatory Culture as a fundamental element for the good management of services and to achieve the challenges of governance and decision making on the inputs that affect the lives of each of the people attended.

This group establishes different mechanisms and tools to define and ensure the participation of the people attended in the operation of the services: Participation Plan, conferences, workshops and dynamization of participatory processes with telematic tool.

International action and development cooperation

As a result of the technical evaluation carried out at all levels of the entity, it is concluded that in any process of continuous improvement it is necessary to incorporate new perspectives and agents that help the transformation of the diverse realities that affect the people we serve. In this sense, The Educational Platform in its process of innovation and knowledge management is constantly searching for new partners both nationally and internationally in order to establish a connection. These actions are carried out through agreements or projects in collaboration with national and international entities.

  • We act as a consultancy for entities outside the State; basically Europe and Latin America.
  • We exercise political influence through supranational platforms that make advocacy to international administrations to guide their policies.
  • We constitute partnerships with organizations outside Spain to improve in the technical field (Conferences, seminars, forums), to improve in the professional field, talent recruitment, professional exchanges and training (Preparation of guides, pilot tests, sharing digital platforms)
  • We want to know projects and services in order to replicate them in our territory. As well as designing joint projects with other transnational entities to generate new services in our territory.
  • We seek public funds that allow us to start projects in their pilot phase to become services or complement them (research, research, new technologies).
  • We want to find private funding to establish ways of collaboration and sponsorship.
  • We establish contact with national and European administrations, institutions and key agents. To periodically and jointly update information related to stable public calls or sources of funding.
  • We participate and have a presence in spaces of international collaboration through meetings, conferences, congresses, symposia, trainings, exchanges, visits.

Knowledge research

Plataforma Educativa understands research as that set of orderly steps, worked with a particular language, to generate valid knowledge and have elements to constructively transform our reality.

We do this not depending on the subjective perception of a specific person at a particular time, but through the appropriate systematic procedures and a previously established common language, which allows us to agree on what they are and not things, and thus be able to reach the goals that we propose.

We consider that research in the field of the Third Sector is important and that is why we have a constant view of constructive transformation, in order to offer innovative, quality services based on data, ideas and models generated in a systematic and orderly manner.

In this way, from the Area of Knowledge Management we carry out actions of:

  • Raising questions in the field of our interest in unknown or not very explored areas for behavioural sciences, education or related social sciences, in order to present original research proposals.
  • Analysis of the knowledge generated in the areas of interest for our service objectives.
  • Specific and specialized research, with quantitative, qualitative or mixed scientific methodology; case studies or of a documentary and interpretative type.
  • Orientation to the adapted applicability of the knowledge generated from own or external projects.
  • Proposal of new models and contributions to the definition, methodology and development of the existing ones, crystallized in the projects of the services of the Group’s entities.
  • Study of innovation factors, indicators of effectiveness and quality, and systematization for updating and improving applied practices.
  • Support to help, strengthen or strengthen the activity of the various entities and their management.
  • Most of these tasks are reinforced through various collaboration agreements established with other entities or university research teams.

Technical Office

Plataforma Educativa has a technical office, which, in close collaboration with the management of each entity, draws up an annual funding plan. This must respond to the needs detected in each of the services by analysing the actions that must be developed to materialize their achievement.

The technical office is made up of technical staff in charge of detecting opportunities and preparing the corresponding projects. It has an operational research team that is in charge of the administrative processing, monitoring and justification of the different projects.

From the technical office detect the opportunities that generate from the BOE, of the DOGC and of the Official Bulletins of the Provincial Councils. The contractor profile of the local administration is also reviewed as well as public calls from private entities.

We also carry out an active search to locate possible donations or funding for the activities, services or products generated by the different entities.

Human and Social Rights

We promote an organizational, democratic and transversal culture working for real equality and positioning values as part of their identity. These values are born from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations, being common to a great diversity of cultures. They have enough strength to permeate the social action that we develop, attending and helping to grow in childhood, youth, people with disabilities and other people in a situation of social exclusion so that they become responsible, free, participatory and autonomous in the society in which we live.

Equal opportunities

Gender inequality has long been invisible. In the application of our corporate social responsibility, we understand that companies and entities must lead the development of these equal opportunities policies between men and women; both in our internal organization and in the social impact that our work implies. In this sense, Plataforma Educativa includes within its policy, equal opportunities among all genders and the right to non-discrimination and freedom as principles that underpin the organization and action of the entities that are members of it.

The entity works to incorporate the gender perspective in a transversal way as a key element in the operation of all its services, actions and projects including the global perspective of the entity and the hard-working people and the specific look of the projects and people attended. The objective of incorporating this global and specific perspective facilitates the search for strategies to promote social changes and avoid any type of discrimination, with special emphasis on gender issues aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda (SDG5). Gender Equality and SDG10. Reduction of inequalities).

The Equality Commission

We understand that entities must lead the development of equal opportunities policies between men and women; both in our internal organization and in the social impact that our work implies.

This fact is specified in the preparation of an equality plan for each of the entities. Under the Plan, there is also a Protocol for the prevention, reporting and sanction of sexual harassment, based on sex, due to sexual orientation, expression and gender identity. The protocol conceives harassment as a psychosocial risk associated with work and wants to guarantee a healthy work environment free of violence against women; assigning obligations and rights of the workforce with regard to the commitment to gender equality under a principle of zero tolerance. The email of the people responsible for the management of any cases that may occur is pdas@plataformaeducativa.org; and their actions are based on the principles and guarantees of respect and protection, and confidentiality.

The monitoring of the application of the Equality Plan falls on the Equality Commission, formed by members of the Network of Educational Platform organizations. The Commission coordinates that the measures of the Plan that involve different departments and areas of Platform are executed in the temporalization contemplated by the Plans, and reception of specific demands that the services can send him. 2030 Agenda

Corporate Social Responsibility is a transversal concept that affects various areas of management of the entity so its activities must be linked to the basic activity of the entity, have a vocation of permanence and involve a commitment to management.

CSR has a multidimensional character that affects various areas of management and is embraced by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the United Nations and developed in 2015 with the creation of the new sustainable development agenda, the 2030 Agenda.
We align ourselves with these objectives and deploy them with the Strategic Plan where each of the entities works for the achievement of their action plans carrying out the different contributions and actions every day.
